Welcome to St. Helena Bocce. The bocce league is a City sponsored league that runs spring through fall of each year. There are 8 lighted bocce courts located at Crane Park. The league is run by the St. Helena Recreation Department.

History of Bocce
Throwing balls toward a target is one of the oldest games known in history. As early as 5000 B.C. the Egyptians played a form of bocce with polished rocks. Bocce was first documented from a painting found in an Egyptian tomb. The painting, dating to 5200 B.C., was of two boys playing the game similar to the one we play 7,200 years later.
